Flexible Micanite

This product is usually made up of about 90% of natural mica powder mixed with 10% silicon binder. Flexible micanite plates are extremely suitable for the thermal and electrical isolation of various heating elements. We also provide an additional flexible variant.

Temperature Muscovite micanite: continuous 500°C, short term 800°C.

Temperature Phlogopite micanite: continuous 700°C, short 1.000°C.

Flexible sheets can be formed at room temperature to tube shapes.

Improved flexibility is obtained by the material to be heated up to 1 minute to 150°C. As a result, the improved flexibility produces optimum deformability.

Flexible micanite plates are ideally suited for thermal and electrical insulation for various heating elements used in household and industrial appliances, such as hair dryers, clothes dryers, stoves, and many applications where excellent resistance to thermal, mechanical and electrical properties are required.

The normal flexible Phlogopite version is widely used for gaskets / seals (exhaust manifolds) in: petrochemical, chemical, oil and gas, fuel cells, gas turbines. It is also used as a filler material for spiral wound gaskets or for profile gaskets.

• Extra flexible. Thickness: 0,10-1,5 mm, rectangular plate 1000 x 600 mm, 1200 mm and 2400 x 1000 x 1000 mm. Suitable blanking micanite parts. For precision components to be used in die cutting, resilient plates.
• Normal flexible. Thickness: 0,10-3,0 mm, rectangular plate 1000 x 600 mm, 1200 mm and 2400 x 1000 x 1000 mm. Suitable blanking micanite parts.
